Abstract:

In this paper, some fixed point results of self mapping which is defined on orthogonal cone metric spaces are given by using extensions of orthogonal contractions. And by taking advantage of these results, the necessary conditions for self mappings on orthogonal cone metric space to have P property are investigated. Also an example is given to illustrate the main results.

Abstract:

One proposed approach in fifth-generation wireless communication to support more users is the dynamic use of orthogonal and non-orthogonal multiple access schemes. In this research, a dynamic orthogonal and non-orthogonal multiple access system is proposed to maximize the energy efficiency (EE), and several schemes are presented for allocation of sub-channels and power. Due to the complexity of the proposed resource allocation problem and its non-convexity property, it is not possible to find a global solution. Hence, the main problem is divided into two sub-problems which are sub-channels and power allocation. In the first step, the subchannel allocation problem is solved and its output is sub-channel allocation for all active users and determining the access mode for each sub-carrier. The second step is the power allocation sub-problem which is converted into a quasi-convex sub-problem by using the difference of convex functions algorithm iteratively, and ultimately. Then, the bisection method is applied for solving the quasiconvex sub-problem. Also, the KKT equations are provided for the feasibility problem of the bisection method. Finally, in the simulation section, the maximum EE versus the maximum power for each user is calculated. Besides, the impact of user’ s presence at the cell edge on the EE is discussed. According to the simulation results, our proposed resource allocation approach can improve the sum rate and EE of the system compared to the heuristic approach of the previous literature.

Abstract:

One of the obvious reasons for most disorders in network service provisioning is network path congestion. Congestion avoidance in today's networks is too costly and sometimes impossible. With the introduction of SDN, centralizing the equipment's control plane has become possible. This paper presents an enhanced method named ESV-DBRA to avoid congestion in multi-tenant SDN networks. At first, ESV-DBRA monitors the traffic load and delay of all network paths for each tenant individually. Then, by merging the parameters obtained from the monitoring, the Service Level Agreements (SLA), and a novel proposed cost function, it calculates the cost of the network paths per tenant. As a result, traffic for each tenant is routed through the path/paths at the lowest possible cost from the tenant's perspective. Next, the bandwidth quotas will be calculated and assigned to the tenants over their optimal routes. Afterward, whenever congestion is likely to occur in a path, ESV-DBRA automatically changes the route or bandwidth of the tenants' traffic related to this path to avoid congestion. Related algorithms are also proposed.Eventually, simulations show that the proposed method effectively increases bandwidth utilization by 10.76%.

Abstract:

Different types of contact, including contact between node pairs, any-contact of nodes, and contacts of the entire network, are used to characterize social relations in mobile social networks. Different modes of routing, from the point of view of message delivery semantics, encompass unicasting, multicasting, any-casting, and broadcasting. Studies have shown that using probability distribution functions of contact data, which is mainly assumed to be homogeneous for nodes, improves the performance of these networks. However, there exists an important challenge in studies on distributions. A lot of works apply the distribution of one type of contact to other types. Hence in routing applications, it causes to use of the distribution of one type of contact for any mode of routing. This study provides a complete solution to model each type of homogeneous contact data distribution and to use them in different modes of routing. We propose a routing algorithm that uses this new model. Results show that our solution improves the average latency of comparing methods Epidemic, TCCB, and DR about 3.5-times, 30%, and 45%, respectively. It achieves a delivery rate of about 5% and 6%, and average latency about 6% and 8% better than that of DR and TCCB, respectively.

Abstract:

In this research, performance analysis for the composition of non-orthogonal and orthogonal cellular digital television broadcasting is investigated. A downlink multi-carrier layered division multiplexing (LDM) superimposed with an evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS). We define two broadcast service providers (BSP), which offer different radio access technology (RAT). The BER and Sum-Rate efficiency are selected as our criteria. The proposed downlink composition framework can work without a subscriber identity module (SIM card) uplink and internet protocol (IP). Mathematical analysis, based on the exact closed-form expressions, is consistent with the theory of the proposed composition LDM/eMBMS. Evaluation and performance are done based on the Monte Carlo iterative methodology. The results show that the BER and Sum-Rate performance of a composition framework outperforms compared with LDM/eMBMS individually system.

Abstract:

This paper presents a mathematical model that could assist in measuring, monitoring and controlling temperature variation in cold and ‘red-hot’ metal working conditions of machining. A numerical analysis technique of the temperature distribution, based on the theory of complex applied potential, was carried out using the principles of relationship analysis between the paths of heat supply in Cartesian plane when the heat path supplied to the material is orthogonal. The high level of temperature involved may effectively be predicted if a mathematical relationship that predicts the pattern of temperature distribution in a material is available. A case study example in a machining workshop is given. Simulation experiments are then carried out using Monte Carlo to increase the confidence in decision-making and provide data for significance testing. This was used as an input for testing for significance. Sensitivity analyses were also carried out in order to observe the degree of responsiveness of model parameters to changes in value. In all, five pairs of comparison were carried out among different workpiece materials. There are significant differences between workpiece materials made of steel and copper, copper and zinc, copper and aluminum. However, no significant differences exist in the model behavior of steel and aluminum, steel and zinc. It was observed that parameters are highly sensitive to changes in value. The framework could possibly be applied to milling and surfacing activities in the engineering workshop. This contribution may be helpful to small-scale enterprises that could not afford sophisticated and very expensive facilities.
